My posts for this wonderful website stem from my absolute love of Cyprus. I moved here in May 2016 for a 6 month trial and I’m still here! I’ve lived in 4 different properties (finally in a house yay) in the same area (the best area) in the North West of the Island.
Apparently I’m a know it all about the area (not self titled) and have been told to become a tour guide so I jumped at the chance to get involved with Love Akamas. Apparently I have the gift of the gab and have the added bonus of talking and getting to know business owners and locals. You need something…I can probably hook you up in the non drugs sense! and I actually want to write something interesting, informative and funny! Maybe this will turn into helping people explore themselves…I am a mine of useful and maybe not so useful information ha!
I don’t drive, I prefer to be chauffeured. Mostly I walk but I am a great advocate of the bus service here. It is really cheap and under rated! No I am not being paid by Osypa. I’m hoping those on their own adventure can relate to maybe not using a car. I am aware that not everywhere in Cyprus is accessible without a car so I do sometimes rely on my wonderful friends to chauffeur me around (none of them will wear a cap though). I love to walk; you find and experience so much more than you would driving!
I love adventure and the outdoors even though I never climbed a tree as a child. I love to hike, swim and dive, although turns out I am much better under the water than on it. I use my handy iphone for photographs but some have been taken by friends. I am particularly fond of abandoned buildings and doorways (thanks Mother).
Get ready for the cheesiest line you will read (although i promise to include at least one in each post)…I have discovered Paradise, why don’t you join me in discovering yours.
