Marianna and Marinos Garden Centre, Gialia is one of the most beautiful places you can visit in Cyprus. The colours, the smells, the mist of water every so often! This is my go to place for outdoor and indoor plants. I do at least a monthly trip with one of my best friends and we fill her car up! They sell everything you can imagine from grapefruit trees to bougainvillea. From citrus trees to mint. From hanging baskets to massive birds of paradise! It’s a big place you can easily spend over an hour and that’s just inside! At the moment its full of pansies (now most are in my garden ha) and ponsettias ready for winter and Christmas yay! Real Christmas trees are on order and will be with them around the end of November, I already have mine on order. Let’s face it, nothing beats a real Christmas tree! Lets take a little look at inside heaven…

Then there is outside which has the growing trees and the massive bourgainvillea that grows like no tomorrow. Don’t forget one of my absolute favs – the hibiscus…I may have a problem and I blame this place entirely haha! I have one in every colour bar a light pastel yellow (it’s on my list!). Lets roam outside and float around the plants like bees and butterflies…

The cherry on top (literally) is their cafe Florabelle. Newly opened, this cafe is delightful. Serving a wide selection of drinks and homemade cakes, the selection changes everyday. I (and my mother and a variety of friends) can personally vouch for the carrot cake, the lime pie and the passion fruit cheesecake with berries. The cakes are just so moist!

They also sell all the soil you might need and pots and plant food! I’ve learnt a lot about caring and tending to each different plant too it is definitely a work in progress for me! you can message for advice and they will happily talk you through everything you need to know! They will also deliver the big stuff or if you buy too much (my issue).

Update: Spring has sprung (finally) and what better place to see Spring than at a garden centre. It’s so colourful and pretty and this season is ALL about colour! There are also mini cheese scones!!
