The only thing I like better than talking about food is eating it!

Molos translates as ‘Jetty’ which is quite apt as it situated right next to the harbour and has tables pretty much on a jetty! You literally can sail up on a boat, hop off, grab some lunch and then sail off into the sunset (yes it would be a very long lunch…have you ever had a meze in Cyprus?!)
Molos has been at Latchi Harbour for a fair few years and is one of my favourites. The menu is extensive and tasty. My favourite dish is the fish pie…it is one of the best dishes I have ever had! Succulent fish pieces, in a creamy sauce topped with cheesy mash (the best bit). Don’t get a starter, this meal is big and filling. I kept stuffing my face even though I wanted to stop just because it was just so perfect! Yes I did finish it the next day 🙂

In the same sitting my lunch date had the lasagna. Again a big portion so the dips we had before were an oops ha! The lasagna was very tasty according to my guest. The sauce was creamy and the pasta was just the right amount of cooked. The top was slightly crispy too with cheese nom!

Just for blog purposes of course, we ordered dips and wine 🙂 The dips come with pitta…tzatziki, hummus and taramasalata. All home made and all I would order again (maybe with more people to share them with)! And all taken home with me and eaten over the next couple days! I also highly recommend their house red. I am a big fan of Cypriot wine (in fact i’m drinking some writing this) and never turn down an opportunity to try the house red. Honestly it’s great and will satisfy the palate!

Red wine Take away dips
Next up is the meze…my favourite bit of this meze was the Lountza. So thick cut and moist. I have never had Lountza like it! I know its a weird part to have as the best bit but then here I am!
Obligatory dips, salad and beer
Lountza, halloumi & dolmades All the meat! Stifado
Look at the meat. It does make my tummy happy 🙂 It includes my favourite Cypriot dish, Sheftalia. lamb or pork wrapped in caul meat stuffed with herbs and this was a good bunch! I also loved the sauce with the stifado. It was so rich and tomatoey. My date absolutely loved the meat and stifado portions. Polished off the bits I couldn’t!
Last little bit to mention…their after meal aperitif glasses are just to die for! So cute! Frosted crystal, with a delightful ping and a great little alcohol pocket sized sipping glass!
Molos is located in Latchi about 5 mins drive from Polis. It is open all year so is a great place to visit whilst its cold as you can sit by the fire inside. Current COVID rules apply so please make sure you have your safepass/test with you and wear masks when appropriate.

May I simply say what a relief to uncover somebody that really understands what theyre discussing over the internet. You certainly know how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More and more people really need to check this out and understand this side of the story. I was surprised that youre not more popular because you certainly have the gift.
